Talk of Fame Network

The 2015 season has given the NFL the best quarterbacking it has ever seen.

Better than the 1960s with Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas and Joe Namath. Better than the 1970s with Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach and Ken Stabler. Better than the 1980s with Joe Montana, John Elway and Warren Moon. better than the 1990s with Troy Aikman, Steve Young and Brett Favre. Better than the 2000s with Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Kurt Warner.

So says noted NFL historian John Turney of the Pro Football Journal.

His conclusion is based on the controversial passer efficiency rating the NFL uses to crown passing champions. Give it a read and then draw your own conclusions:

More like the worst year of pass defense ever.
