Ben Coates – An NFL All-Decade selection for the 1990s with the Patriots. Ranks ninth all-time among tight ends with 499 catches. A five-time Pro Bowler with 50 career touchdowns.
Todd Christensen – Led the NFL in receiving in both 1983 and 1986 with the Raiders. A five-time Pro Bowler with 14 100-yard games.
Pete Retzlaff – Among the game’s original true tight ends in the late 1950s, led the NFL in receiving in 1958 with the Eagles. A five-time Pro Bowler and won the Bert Bell Award as NFL Player of the Year in 1965.
